Last Thursday, October 28, the specific agreement was signed between the University of Zulia (LUZ) and the Abdala Karame Medical Institute, promoted by the School of Medicine (FMED) of LUZ.
The main objective of this agreement is to improve the academic, clinical and surgical training of the gynecologist, in the study and treatment of endometriosis; helping these specialists to understand the pathophysiology of this disease and other processes associated with it, as well as its ethical, human and psychological dimension.
It will also allow physicians to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities on guidelines and protocols to make the timely diagnosis and select the treatment of choice for endometriosis. In the same way, you will learn to discern the patients who should be referred to a higher level of subspecialty medical care, in order to improve the results in their diagnosis and treatment and thus avoid complications in the medium and long term.
Within the framework of this agreement, face-to-face and blended activities will be carried out such as: exchange of information and publications, including exchange between the libraries of both institutions, organization of seminars, colloquium, symposia, execution of joint study plans and research, among others. The signing of this agreement was carried out at the facilities of the Medical Institute, which was attended by the rector of LUZ, Judith Aular de Durán, the president of the Institute, Abdala Karame, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Sergio Osorio Morales and others. special guests.
In this way, these two institutions strengthen ties that benefit graduate students, providing an exchange of knowledge and experiences, so that FMED students continue to receive quality education.
